Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
Crownfall is built to respect your privacy by design. The short version: we do not run our own accounts, analytics, or trackers, and your game progress stays on your device. The one exception is advertising: the game shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google may process some device data to serve them. This page explains exactly what that means.
In short: Crownfall has no accounts and no sign-in, and we do not collect personal data about you. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which shows ads in the game and may use device identifiers to do so. You can play the ad-supported parts or simply not tap the “watch an ad” options.
1. Who we are
Crownfall (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is developed and published by Solid Medio, based in Belgium. You can reach us at info@crownfallplay.com for any privacy question or request. This policy explains how the app handles information — and, because the app is offline and local-first, there is very little to explain.
2. Information we do not collect
We want to be specific, because “we value your privacy” means nothing on its own. Crownfall itself does not collect any of the following (the separate question of Google’s advertising is covered in section 4):
- No name, email address, phone number, or any other contact or identity information.
- No account or login. You never create an account to play.
- No analytics or behavioural tracking run by us, and no crash- or usage-reporting SDKs.
- No location data, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone access.
We do not run our own servers that receive your data, and we do not sell your data.
3. Information stored on your device
To let you pick up where you left off, Crownfall saves your game progress locally on your device only, using your device’s standard app storage. This includes things like:
- Your best scores, level progress, stars, and daily-streak count.
- Your in-game currency (coins, gems, shards) and the cosmetics you own and have equipped.
- A player name you choose in the app and your settings (such as sound and notification toggles).
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. It is not linked to your real identity. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it. You can also erase it at any time from the app’s Settings, using Reset progress.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Crownfall shows ads through Google AdMob, Google’s mobile advertising service — for example, an optional rewarded video you can watch to continue a run. To serve and measure ads, Google’s SDK may collect and process certain device information, such as a device advertising identifier, your approximate (IP-based) location, and basic device and ad-interaction data. This processing is done by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
On iOS, apps must ask your permission before tracking you across other companies’ apps and websites using your device advertising identifier (Apple’s App Tracking Transparency). If a tracking prompt appears, you can decline it, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device. You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier there. Declining does not stop you from playing; you may simply see less relevant ads.
5. Notifications
If you allow it, Crownfall can send you local notifications — for example, a reminder that a chest is ready to open, or that your daily reward is waiting. These are scheduled entirely on your device by the operating system. They do not involve a server, they do not track you, and no data is sent to us or anyone else. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app’s Settings or in your device settings.
6. Purchases
Crownfall is free to play. If we offer optional in-app purchases in the future, those transactions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details; Apple processes payments under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Please review Apple’s terms for how they handle purchase information.
7. Children’s privacy
Crownfall is intended for a general audience and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We ourselves run no accounts, analytics, or trackers. The advertising described in section 4 is provided by Google AdMob; we configure it to avoid targeting based on personal data where required, and Google offers controls for child-directed treatment. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at info@crownfallplay.com and we will address it.
8. Your rights
Privacy laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights over your personal data — including the right to access, correct, delete, or port it, and to object to its sale. Crownfall does not collect or process any personal data, so there is no profile to access or delete on our side. You remain in full control of the local game data on your device, which you can reset or remove at any time. If you have any request or question, email us at info@crownfallplay.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. As we are based in Belgium, the competent authority is the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), at gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be. You may also contact the data-protection authority in your own country.
9. Data security
Since Crownfall does not transmit or store your data off your device, there is no server-side database that could be breached. Your local game data is protected by your device’s own security (such as your passcode and Apple’s app sandboxing).
10. International users
Crownfall works the same everywhere and does not send your data across borders, because it does not send your data anywhere. This policy applies to all users worldwide.
11. Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if we add an online feature — we will update this policy and revise the “last updated” date above before that feature ships. Significant changes will be reflected here, so it is worth checking back after major updates.
